Who are we?

LEAF & LOOM is a Rotterdam based sustainable design studio that translates the silent language of nature into textile art. Guided by the cultural depth of my background in Anthropology, I blend traditional natural dyeing techniques learned from experienced masters with a modern "slow art" philosophy. By transferring nature's own forms onto fabric through entirely chemical-free, botanical processes, we transform the unique imprints of leaves into wearable and livable works of art.

Our values

At the heart of our production process lies a deep respect for nature and the philosophy of "slow making". In contrast to the fast-paced world of consumption, we value time, patience, and craftsmanship. We work deliberately, embracing zero-waste principles and using entirely chemical-free, vegan methods. We source our colors exclusively from tree barks, fallen leaves, roots, and flowers. Just as nature never repeats itself, every single piece that leaves our studio is truly one-of-a-kind. We deeply value building a nature conscious community by sharing this sustainability awareness not only through our designs but also through our hands-on workshops and gatherings.

Our mission

Our greatest purpose is to reconnect people with their roots and the natural world by bringing forgotten, ancient crafts into modern life. We want to prove that sustainable and ethical production is not only a necessity but also a highly aesthetic choice. By sharing the unique beauty of natural dyeing, we are on a mission to encourage conscious consumption and to remind everyone, through every piece we create, that nature itself is a masterpiece worth protecting.
